You head down the stairs. They're steep and made with old wood- you're careful not to trip. The air smells like mold. And the stairs go down further than you expect. Just how deep is this basement?
Then finally, just before the light from the bedroom fades, you find a door. The wood seems wet and old, the frame corroded and brass. There is an intricate pattern- seemingly painted on with a gold paint-that has faded somewhat. Grass peaks out from underneath. You hear the sound of running water behind it.
Suddenly, there is a slamming noise behind you. The basement door has been shut, and all light fades.
For a moment you stand in shock. Then, the faintest red glow appears from behind the door, along with various shuffling noises.
